Rendevous at Cromford wharf Along the canal taking in the history of the mills, march up the incline and along the high peak trail Drop down to the boat in Cromford for a pint and lunch thx Chris and Liz 11k

Having booked Christmas Lunch for 20 at the newly revamped Cock Inn we had to earn our appetite with a circumnavigation of Carsington water 8miles

Well this walk it rained! After a farm cuppa we braved the ridge. Along the ridge…we all promised to return on a good weather day Somewhere up there was Docksey pool and we managed to locate Hen cloud Visibility was so bad we lost half the party and someone got  a parking ticket 7.5k

Park for free on the lane to little longstone, ideal for the packhorse inn. Turn left and take the lanes above longstone, to Longstone edge. past the quarry then drop down though Cresswell past the mill and then race along the dale cos we were late. The cameras were out for slowmo waterfalls!  14k

Dom’s favourite walk!-to be repeated many times Park across from the Miners standard above Winster. Walk down into the village cutting down the steep alley ways. Across past the village shop and into the meadows. Follow the trail up and down to the Birchover campsite (Barn Farm) then up onto Stanton moor with Rowter rocks,
